Finally, A Simple Explanation To The Five James Webb Images

The James Webb Space Telescope released its first pictures on July 12. The first set of five images included the Southern Ring Nebula, Carina Nebula, Stephan's Quintet, Webb First Deep Field of galaxy cluster SMACS 0723, and the spectrum of exoplanet WASP-96b. The first set of images demonstrates the true power of the mighty James Webb Space Telescope. They are a significant improvement over the Hubble pictures and have revealed hidden regions of the cosmos that no telescope could peer.

But what new did the James Webb Space Telescope discover in these five images? The 16th episode of the Sunday Discovery Series answers this question and explains every James Webb image in detail.

Thank the SOU for sharing with us. The universe is mind blowing, mysterious, and exquisitely beautiful. Despite all that's going on around the globe, we still live in a wonder filled universe. What a time to be alive! Peace.

Most or all images were taken where Hubble already had done so.
But the images Webb took, were taken in an extremely shorter timespan/less "shutter speed" _and_ are also more detailed.

Visually, you can immediately recognize all the images, but the efficiency and/or additional detail is astounding.

I hope you're right about new images weekly! I'm sure some weeks will yield less than others but even if they only compiled files and released a few images each month - if they're all as stunning as the first set - it'll be a heck of a decade of amazing sights. I. Can't. Wait!

I love how they use the word images rather than photographs because they are all edited and more than likely look nothing like what they are supposed to look like

How big it is the carena nebula in light years?and what is the average distance between each stars inside the nebula?

How can we be certain that some of the images aren’t artifacts? It seems mind blowing to me that we’re seeing objects billions of light years away.
