Hii Karissa, those creatures you haven’t seen before are sea cucumbers! They themselves are tasteless, with jelly like texture and are normally cooked in salty or spicy soups (which the flavour of the dish comes from). I heard they are good for health, but again almost all Chinese foods are said to be good for health😂😂
