The people who will be most happy about this change is... NetEase, not Chinese players. More predatory microtransactions will be seen and purchased by more players, once those titles hit Xbox. I'm sure they can't wait for that.

But with that said, I'm happy that Chinese players will once again have access to the games they've purchased, not to mention also have access to new titles like Diablo 4. With the promising changes coming in S4, things are definitely looking up in that market.

I've been wondering.. Because Diablo 4 season 4 is looking to be a huge upgrade from past patches and the first time they've delayed a seasonal patch and first time doing PTR... It seems like they're actually trying to focus on improving the game now just coincidentally all after Bobby left.... If that's the reason why. I'm hoping so, because that could mean that Blizzard will start trending back towards making better games as their primary focus. One can hope.

As someone who plays a netease game daily, don’t expect any sort of transparency from them. They also have a tendency to acquire a playerbase and then squeeze them as hard as possible through micro transactions

Have been playing WOW on the Taiwanese server since the shutdown because of the dispute between Blizz and Netease. I think i may stay here.

I was bummed yesterday, to find out that S4 had been originally planned for April 16th and delayed until May 14th, but when I read it was a delay to make time for changes due to feedback, I'm actually quite pleased. S4 looks sick without even knowing the full depths of the seasonal mechanics, so I'm pretty stoked to play.
