PPE is very important! And I’m glad you make it a habit to use them, many ppl (mostly weekenders, aka, not pros) don’t value as much because it respectively a tiny percentage of there time. However, when it’s your job 40-60+ hrs a week it makes a massive difference in your health. As for hearing protection I use in-ear noise isolating headphones (not the same as noise canceling) that’s good for about 8 to 10 db noise reduction and over those I’ll use 24 db over ear hearing protection. The combination of the two work really well for me because I can listen to my audiobooks or music low volume instead of needing to counter the sound with even more sound.

Hey Larry, thanks for posting these type videos. This is what many of us love the most. Love your intensity! Did you ever explain why you have gone to Rupes polishes from Meguairs? I know you've been a life long 205/105 kind of guy. Thanks again. Phil

For ear protection i use a pair of Sennheiser momentum 3 hybrid earbuds. They have active noise cancelling with a passive mode allowing you to hear still while buffering out the noise. I was a CNC machinist and i had to be able to hear the machine and the tools cutting but didnt want all the machining noise to hurt my ears. Benifit is getting music and phone also while you work.

Because we're detailing with chemicals and dusting being thrown in the air in open areas and tight spaces protecting ourselves is key! Especially when you do this for a living!

genuinely cant believe how inconsistent tesla paint is between cars. total toss up on being hard or soft regardless of the color. Worked on two Model 3s of the same color using the same compound and pad and one hazed up like crazy but the other finished out very well. Everything else the same prep wise too, literally the only variable was the paint

I never gave the product dust much of a thought until my buffer stopped working. I opened it up and removed layers of dust and gunk, I was like shit that's in me too.

What finish polish do you recommend over the 210?

So both the 205 and 210 gave about the same amounts of shine? Great in full thank you

Gracias por el video tan explicado, me gustaría saber que mre recomiendas para un uso diario comprar el 210 o 205, mi duda específica es si el 210 me sirve para cualquier pintura aunque no sea especial

Yeah my question for you Larry is why didn't you use a fine finishing pad? Great video btw, always a huge fan!

Good info and work as always!!
I recently bought a used Tesla sight unseen and oh boy, car wash and beach queen. Probably never pro detailed ever. I used m110 and then Rupes da polish and somewhat pleased. Still needs a lot of work! As I mentioned, it spent time on or near beach I think because of the amount of sand on the underbody and wheel wells as well as in the frunk area. Especially when I pull the plastics. I would love to take a pressure washer to this area like an engine bay, but due to it being an EV, I am extremely hesitant. I tried finding some info online and can’t. What is your experience? How would you tackle?

Could you help me decide what pad to use on my Tesla model 3. Very light swirls, not nearly as bad as this video shows. Which color combinations of lake country pads should I use to remove the imperfections? I have m110 and 210 but wondering if i should only use the 210 and which pad color. I'm using a flex da
