In this short presentation, Prof. Handke shows that there is nothing mysterious about MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses), rather that they are ordinary online courses without credits and that on the Virtual Linguistics Campus, such online courses have been on offer for several years.

VLC-MOOC 201 "The Structure of English" update.

530 participants started. After 3 days, 340 have already been active and ca. 100 have successfully submitted the 1st  worksheet prior to the 1st unit. According to our understanding of a MOOC as Inverted Classroom Mastery Model without in-class phase, totally expected: a mastery level of ca. 30%. Great. To all participants: Keep it up.
