I have a question please! 🙋 ❤ If the bees make honey for the winter then what happens when humans take their winter food? Do you have to give the bees a replacement food to make up for the honey that you take?
I think I've heard of people giving their bees blocks of fondant to replace their honey stores... Is that right? It doesn't seem like fondant would be an adequate replacement for honey...Because honey is so full of goodness but fondant is pretty much just sugar.
I'd love hear your take on this, It's such fascinating stuff!

I can't believe you just found out about polen! It has many HEALTH BENEFITS for humans too ❤ And it's delicious! In Eastern Europe you can buy polenta granules, just like honey

I had no idea! I thought they used pollen to make honey and that the worker bees sometimes ate nectar if they could find it. Kind of like a treat.

But I definitely thought pollen was carried back to the hive to make honey.
In fact, I think I was told that in school.
