(How to)Arrma Granite BLX 4x4 New spur gear rebuild & Replacement

Replacing and rebuilding a spur gear on the Arrma Granite BLX 4x4.

If you are only interested in the spur gear rebuild, then fast forward to 2 minutes and 20 seconds.

I waited three months for a steel tooth spur gear. I ended up just putting a plastic one back in. There are links to both steel and plastic below.

Ty dude my motor mount slip back and the pinion stripped my spur gear on my typhon 3s. Looks the same. I shall see when it comes in.

Thanks for the great repair video. All of a sudden my truck quit moving. I contacted arrma (under wnty) n they sent a spur gear. Well my old gear was just fine. Turns out the screw that holds the spur gear assy together had backed out n was loose which I guess just let those plates just spin against each other n not power the driveshaft. I bot 3 of these trucks for me n my sons but this one truck has had more things come loose or fall off. I could not of repaired this problem w/o ur video.

I'm having trouble with my slipper clutch screw working it's way loose. Should I put loctite on it? How tight do you set yours?
