Growing POTATOES from START to FINISH (time lapse)

In this time lapse video spanning three and a half months, we show you every step of the way in growing store-bought potatoes. We were able to turn three pounds of potatoes into 21 pounds! Begin by sprouting some potatoes in a cool, dry place. Then cut them so each piece has one nice cluster of sprouts, and plant them about one foot apart in well-drained soil with the sprouts facing up. Water consistently if you don't get rain. Add additional soil to cover the tubers after about two months. After you hit about the three month mark, your plants should start turning yellow. It will soon be time to harvest. After you dig up your potatoes, store them in a box lined with newspapers and store in a dark place in your house.

Since it is currently fall and winter will be here before we know it, can potatoes be grown indoors? How big a pot should I use? Full sun (via a window) or is partial sun okay?
