Many people just remember that missed penalty from the '94 World Cup and let it define Baggio. They are very wrong though as Baggio was majestic, a real superstar, and he did everything he did with practically only one knee! He broke his right knee extremely badly when he was 18 years old and still managed to become the best player on the planet. Briefly but he still did it!

Baggio is my all time favourite italian footballer alongside with Paolo Maldini. The '94 WC was the first one I saw live and Baggio is one of the 4 names I remember the brightest from that tournament alongside with Romario, Gheorghe Hagi and Hristo Stoichkov.

Here in Italy Baggio is still loved by everybody, despite the fact that he changed a lot of teams (including the three most important: AC Milan, Inter and Juventus)... For us he will always be Divin Codino (The Divine Ponytail)

What a great player he was. I wish he had won the World Cup, although he came close thrice as Italy were 3rd in Italia 1990, 2nd in USA 1994, and were eliminated by eventual champions and hosts in France 1998. Lunga vita, Roberto Baggio!
