I have a 2022 GMC Sierra AT4. Last night, I took a drive to the next town in it never once switch to high beams, one thing I didn't realize I had a problem with before I was using my fog lamps that will disable the intelligentbeam. This time I'm not sure what the problem is.

...I've got a Malibu rental until my car situation is resolved after crash (not my fault) - the other night, I noticed this happening even though my hands were firmly on the wheel - and it bothered me because I ha no control over it. On my way home to Port St Lucie, FL from West Palm Beach I noticed the same thing happening over those long, dark back country roads of Martin County - I stated counting the interval between the activation of the lights - then I noticed they switched off if a car appeared - even at a very log distance...this happened a few times and I wondered if this was some strange, new feature ( my car - totaled by the other driver's insurance was a 27 year old Town Car - so this was EXTREMELY a Google and found this - I'd been fixin' to call Avis and tell them I hasfd a problem with the headlights...thanx...

I had this on a 1983 and 1985 town car, I never used it even though it was there, I like being able to control my high beams on my own, had a few times where the automatic dimmer gave the bright lights to other drivers. If oncoming cars in the distance had their high beams on, it would cause my lights to dim if in auto mode, they would dim their headlights then it would cause my lights to go on high beams, then oncoming cars would give me the high beams. I just didn’t care for this feature.
