...I've got a rental Malibu...first time it happened, it pissed me off...couldn't understand why the hi-beams came on when I didn't touch the switch...tried counting the seconds between the light activating and shutting off - I drove long, winding, very dark country roads in St Lucie, Martin & Okeechobee counties here in FL...what got me to finally figgering out what was goin' on was - they'd switch back when vehicle lights would appear in the far distance...now I know how to activate them on purpose...
