Ljubljana doesn't mean belowed. It just sounds like the slovenian word for belowed, which is LjubljEna. Not the same.

Colours of a Slovenian flag came from the coat of arms of the Duchy of Carniola, stars in the sigil are from coat of arms of the Counts/Princes of Celje.
