Daemon wasn’t a hero, he wasn’t a villain. He’s a man who’d do anything and i mean anything for his family. He’s a complicated characters who felt betrayed by Viserys over and over again. I loved Daemon and reading about him in the books. Viserys let vipers into his life and Daemon is right. They wouldn’t protect Viserys from himself they all had their own ambitions. Daemon wanted to protect his brother and his family. Towards the end of his life Rhaynera and Daemon thought the other didn’t love the other anymore. But Daemon sacrificed his life to take down his wife’s greatest threat being the oldest war dragon and it’s rider. It’s not about being king next to his wife, it was about fighting for the claim his brother gave to her. He was there for her in a way when her mother died that Viserys wasn’t. He fought and died for another persons claim when in that moment he truly didn’t have to. As they both thought the other had lost love for each other.
