Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 is a free-to-play Call of Duty game developed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows. Warzone is also a component of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and Call of Duty: Vanguard. The game features two main modes, a Battle Royale mode and a Plunder mode. Warzone Pacific Caldera was added on December, 8th 2021 for PC, Xbox, and Playstation. FOV Slider was not added to consoles at launch causing players to be upset.

I will never defend Activision and have a strong hate for how that company runs things at this point, but how could the SM2 developers think it was a good idea to go to the MWR engine and then tell people not to purchase the game. Seemed inevtiable to get shut down after that.

I had a feeling moving to the mwr engine was a bad move, as much as it would have improved the game. I think the nail in the coffin was like you said, the fact people wouldn’t have to buy mwr and would pirate it. If they had not said that and kept it going I think they would’ve gotten away with it. But even still I think the first bad move was moving to a newer call of duty game.

Edit:I have now found out that they made a grave mistake by telling people to not buy MW2R. Should've told everyone to buy it to get the good rep from Acti then continue without worry.

I bet if they stayed on the MW2 engine that Activision wouldn't have struck it down and instead would have just charged $60 or $70 for the original MW2 at the time of SM2's launch.
