DESCRIPTION: Goodbye, SM2. The best Call of Duty game that was being developed for FREE for over 2 years by passionate COD fans received a cease and desist order from Activision, forcing them to shut down their operations and cancel the project. This was the worst possible outcome for the SM2 project, and I feel so bad for the devs who poured their hearts and souls into this project only to have their hopes and dreams crushed. I wish them the best of luck in the future, and I hope the COD community can somehow remain optimistic for BOIII, XLabs and Plutonium as well…

It's such a shame that these corporations don't embrace the modding community. Modding is what keeps games alive and kicking for generations to come, yet every year more and more mods for all sorts of games are shut down. This is a massive loss for the Cod community.

Such sad news to wake up to man, I had such high hopes for this game and I completely understand why this happened but its a shame regardless. Now all we can do is pray that nothing changes with any of the current CoD clients. The hate towards the sm2 devs I've been seeing on Twitter is crazy too considering they were doing this as a passion project free of charge not accepting donations or anything when its Activision being the fun police
