Garden Tour May 2023 || Let Summer Begin!

Показать описание
It is so good to finally start getting the Summer crops in the ground. Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers, berries, green beans and Honeynut Squash are off to a great start. Onions are just starting to bulb. Garlic...well, who knows what the garlic is doing! Brassicas are hurrying to do their thing before the heat of Summer. Sweet potatoes, zucchini and summer squash are waiting in the wings.

How is your garden looking? Is it planted for Summer yet? What have you planted that I haven't?

xoxo,
Carter

That brave little blueberry..bless his heart. 😂

Carter, your garden looks amazing, especially those peppers! I'm sure you'll have plenty for your cowboy candy. As far as zinnias, in my experience they do not like to be transplanted.

I'm loving these garden tours. Gorgeous!!!

Hello Carter. Hope you had a blessed Mother's Day! Your garden looks amazing. Here in Indiana we are just now getting the majority in the ground. Our cool weather plants we planted in April are so far doing good. ❤️

The price is ridiculous even for two per bucket. Thankfully, last year I took the runners in late summer and allowed them to take root in my strawberry bed since my strawberry plants had run their course. I'm so grateful I did because they are doing so well and I'm getting so many strawberries than I normally would. It's true about replacing old plants because of poor production. I didn't know what I was missing until now. Your garden is beautiful.

I always thought that hard neck did better in cooler climates.. maybe try elephant garlic next? Much milder flavor tho..

Happy Mother's Day to you also. Garden is beautiful. Do you just freeze all your excess vegetables until you have time to can? We have had the best rain for two weeks. My tomatoes and bell peppers are growing like crazy Every seed I planted germinated. Okra, pole beans, Rattlesnake beans, Rise and Shine yellow squash. My lower garden needed new fencing hope it will be dry or stop raining for a minute so we can install.
We have rabbits that can open the gate. Bad out here in the country. See you next week.

Beautiful garden! Here in Wyoming we can't even start yet. Do you start everything from seed? I guess living here now I should know what Cowboy Candy is, but haven't heard of that. LOL
