David Humphries presents the perennial and annual fungi found on and around trees whilst undertaking tree inspections. He will be looking at the macro identification of these species and at the structural issues arising from the presence of such fungi as well as the habitat potential.

The LNHS Virtual Natural History Talk series brings together naturalists with experts and specialists using the Zoom videoconferencing tool.

All LNHS Virtual Natural History Talks will:
- Comprise of a 30-40 minute talk from the guest speaker, followed by a question and answer session.
- Be free to attend by all, including both LNHS members and non-members.
- Be hosted on Zoom and bookings will be managed through Eventbrite, with joining instructions sent to those that have booked prior to the event.
- Be recorded and subsequently made available through YouTube.

Talks will cover a wide range of topics, including (but not limited to) ecology, identification, recording and conservation, and in a variety of groups including birds, mammals, flowering plants, fungi, bryophytes, reptiles and amphibians, and a range of invertebrate groups.

I have been interested in tree fungi for a long time (I live in SW Western Australia) but have never seen or read anything which catalogued the types that exist so clearly, absorbingly and digestibly! And your photographs are such high quality (and attractive) and cover such a huge range of species and development stages - what a superb resource! Thank you again.

My Pecans tree are slowly dying. I recently noticed Ringless Honey Mushrooms growing on my lawn and around my Magnolia Tree. I am now researching information on what to do to help the trees from this diseases.
