Okay so not only did Joe Lynn Turner need to sing his own material during his time in Rainbow, but he also needed to sing Ronnie James Dio, Graham Bonnett, and Ian Gillan. That's a tall order for any singer, and he crushed it. He was so versatile

I love this live version for long vocal improvisation, starting from 4:43. It builds up a tension, which reaches climax by smashing organ keyboards, and then song returns back to main theme.

It is so good to listen Graham songs from JLT since they are all in tune and well performed.

Thing is, though it definitely isn't as powerful as the original, it wasn't the same when Bonnett did it live either. Something really special happened in the studio when this was recorded because even Bonnett can't quite get it. He gets closer than this, but it's really hard to replicate.

Holy sh*t!  Talk about deja vu!  I live in Ohio now but was at this concert with my friends Marty and Alex. Thanks for posting and allowing me to relive one of my better memories when I was a long haired young man living in SA. I shave my head now, btw. Go Spurs!!!
