Actress JoBeth Williams said in an interview that she thought these human skeletons were faked and after the scene was finished, the crew told her that real human skeletons were used in the swimming pool scene and she was in shock. She couldn't believe it.

As a 5 year old kid I was watching this in the cinema with my dad.. & this scene sealed in my mind for the rest of my life .. The muddy pool appeared in my several nightmares for the following year or two. But this is also my favourite scene & my favorite horror movie..
after this throughout my childhood I could hardly find any other movie that can really scared me .. tribute to Mr Spielberg
