About Poltergeist:
A typical family in a quiet suburb of a normal California faces a frightening ordeal when its home is invaded by a Poltergeist. One of the best 80s horror films ever made

I saw it on its opening weekend in the theatre. The only things I knew about it were Spielberg produced it and it was about ghosts. The theatre was packed and the audience was really alive, shrieking at every scare. One teenager fled the theatre during the scene where the guy looks into the mirror; you know the one I'm talking about. Watched this again last night, probably the sixth or seventh time I've seen it and still very effective at bringing the scares.

Can't wait to pick this one up on 4K Bluray but i would love to have seen a new documentary on the film. Its a shame Spielberg won't talk about it, its been 40 years for gods sake and he even wrote the film. Never mind at least we get to see the film at its best.

If only it had more extras! It's sad that this movie hasn't gotten the treatment it deserves! Where are the alternate/deleted scenes? If the footage still exists it would be nice to see! I've seen plenty of articles and pictures on them! I was hoping to see more documentaries as well. There's so much out there that could've been included. At least its gotten a 4K release.

I used to have the digitally restored/remastered version of this on DVD, and the quality of the picture & audio was top notch! 👌👍 I can imagine how this 4KUHD version would look & sound like on a home theater system with surround sound... 😎😎😎

This movie is still scary and this came out in 1982 and it was a huge hit and I have this movie on DVD and I have all the Poltergiest trilogy. To be honest this movie was cursed even the second one was scarier than the first and its very re watchable and creepy too. RIP Heather O Rouke and Dominque Dunne.
