Me and Struggle were watching the news in jail when they announced that Waylon had passed away. It was devastating and I'll never forget the pain in his eyes. That may have been the worst night in jail I ever experienced. But Struggle has risen from the flames like a Phoenix and I am so proud of him.

I would like to speak to the comment made about Waylon, saying he would roll in his grave over his grandson's rap music. There's nothing further from the truth. I saw Waylon speak in an interview about racism and how much he hated being taught as a child that there's a difference between people because of color. He didn't believe in that and said whole heartedly that he saw no difference and that was one thing he would have wished to be taught different. He would be nothing but proud of his grandson to know that his influence made an impression on him and that he's learned to be true to himself.

I’m 52 and Waylon was the first music I can remember listening to as a young kid, 7 or 8 maybe, and the djs were so critical of him and Jesse. They would play his music but bash him for snubbing the Nashville establishment. I remember they would play one of jesse’s songs and say what is a girl like her doing with a guy like him. My mother and father couldn’t stand Roy Acuff and laughed when Waylon took his music told Roy to shove it and created his own label. We saw waylon’s shows every time he came around. At least this man Struggle knows what the term outlaw really means. God bless Waylon, God bless Jesse! God bless Struggle!

I am a big Waylon Jennings (annoying when people refer to a celebrity by their first name when they don't know them). I dig what you are doing, I grew up with hip hop early to mid-90s, your music has the integrity of that golden age of hip hop

just keep the faith in yourself and don't sweat the small shit and piss on anyone says otherwise, your grandfather was straight up country boy who believed everything, that's what set him in his own class, my compliments Sir

Now guys like yelawolf struggle and jellyroll are seeing that its okay and cool to be yourself and embrace who and where you come from...its funny because most black rappers want to be rockstars and they want to know more about metal and rock but they dont want people to know it...cool is whatever you think is cool not what society says it is...

Damn just seen this and glad I did, , , , Waylon has always been and always will be my man! Growed up listening to him, from the Dukes of Hazzard to the highway men... He always reminded me of my ol'man, they lived their lives fast, hard and and on their own terms! Got to respect men that wasn't afraid to be men and be tru to theirselves. I feel I walked n some of the same foot prints as Struggle, I found myself after a few trips to prison and true happiness came when I let me be me!
