SOLIDWORKS 2022 What's New - PDM

New for SOLIDWORKS 2022 are enhanced previews in the PDM browser. The eDrawings preview window now has the full UI of the desktop version with all the same capabilities, like the Measure tool with all of its options, and the component design tree with cross highlighting for clarity, as well as full redline and markup capabilities.

There’s also a new integration with Exalead OnePart so that searches can include your licensed Exalead environment which gives you the added ability to search by geometry shape and not just meta data.

Also new for SOLIDWORKS 2022, is a new Open Drawing command that will open drawings regardless of where they are in relation to their parent items. It even works in the PDM add-in tree. In addition, the Web 2 interface now supports 3D neutral file types like STEP, IGES, Parasolid, STL, JT & ACIS which can all be previewed in 3D in the thin web client.
