Ha! In the Navy, our O-3s were so disgruntled that they were forbidden to speak to the Midshipmen onboard during Summercruise.

I'll be needing general officer pay grades now, that should really be a treat.

That's...pretty accurate. If I'd nitpick I'd say company commanders really only command platoon leaders and platoon sergeants, which lightens the load considerably (if they're wise). I was definitely the disgruntled staff Captain and didn't get much better as a staff Major. Fortunately I was prior service so when that 20 year door opened I was out like a shot before I did too much damage. And yes, O6s using sports metaphors (and often championing specific NFL teams) has been a thing for decades. I wonder if we can tie the NFL to Army performance since WW II.

That's very accurate. Let's not forget the MAJs that have your brigade patch and unit crest that you've NEVER seen, but they came out of the woodwork for a GO visit...

O1's and O2's starting at 24 years old? What if I told you the frightening knowledge of 20 year old O1's who do two years at a military school like NMMI? Absolute gremlins.

Just remember, boys and girls, the requirement is a degree...any degree. Seriously, any old fuxk off degree.

The only difference between your typical O1 O2 and a degree holder working at Starbucks is that the barista knows how to actually make coffee.

Could you do a "Binge Compilation" of all these short vids stitched together please? Or put all the compilation ones on a playlist? Something to keep the laughs going without having to break to click a new video every minute or two.

or the 3 star who turns around and rips new ass holes in the birds because they didnt take something off the slides and the 4 star asked him about it during an exercise meeting. I got to be the little e-4 in the back room trying not to laugh so you dont get any attention after the 3 star leaves.

I knew an E-3 with a PhD and another E-3 with a JD...dude did his undergrad at Cornell. Seemed like he was just burned out and wanted to hang out in the barracks and play video games on the weekends.

Only thing you are missing are mustangs like you and I.

At least that is what we call prior enlisted officers in the Corps.

Similar to the Warrant Officer ranks.

O-1E - More disgruntled than an E-7 and hate being treated like a “butter bar” by O-3’s (NOT O-3E’s) with half as much time in service.

O-2E - starting to feel like a real life officer…but proud of his or her roots.

O-3E - trying to take care of the troops but not to screw up so bad you lose your pension.

O-4…. Likely at or close to 20. Feel invincible and untouchable, because you are retirement eligible.

Prior enlisted O-5’s and above are unicorns. If you meet one, take a picture with it… no one will believe you.
