Sony is gonna bank more with this. They have their own universe with Venom, Morbius, Kraven, POSSIBLY Garfield’s Spider-Man returning with more Spider-Man related characters on the way. And the MCU can have their own version of Venom whether they introduce a new version of Eddie or just go with the Agent Venom storyline to change it up. More Venom and Spider-Man content so I’m cool with it.

What the MCU is doing wouldn't necessarily count as a reboot...but as an alternative version of Venom

I hope they do reboot Venom in the MCU. The current Venom doesn’t fit well but I’m not a fan of them doing it this way. Multiversing him in makes you question whether or not Knull and the entire symbiote story will exist in the MCU

Mac gargan also was Venom for a solid decade in the comics. If they want to do a villainous version of Venom they could go that route.

As much I hate unnecessary reboots I think Venom’s origin should always be tied to Peter Parker.
Venom without his iconic emblem on his chest is really a let down.

I think Sony will continue their universe with Tom Hardy's Venom, Morbius and Kraven The Hunter while MCU has their own Venom in the Tom Holland movie

I love the Venom movies with Tom Hardy but I can't wait to see their version of it in the MCU. Hopefully Tom Holland Spiderman will get the black Symbiote suit

Makes sense if you’re Sony. Now you can have more story telling in the mcu. Especially with secret wars coming up. And they get to keep their own venom in the Sony universe. Why would they want to do that? Money. With venom and morbius being in their own universe, they don’t have to share any of the money with Disney. As much as the Spider-Man mcu movies are making, because it’s co-produced by marvel Sony has to share some of that money. At the end of the day it’s a business

Good, i never gave a fuck about Tom Hardy's Venom, they've totally wasted the actor and also Carnage. I want to see a much more darker & brutal new version that manages to mix both the original and Ultimate comics Venom together to create something new and unique that takes place in the MCU.

I feel the fourth Spider-Man movie will have Kingpin and Scorpion as the villains with Spidey getting the symbiote, it changes him for the worst so he takes it off and it attaches to Scorpion, then in the fifth movie it can attach to Eddie Brock who grows a hatred for Spider-Man overtime in that movie

Imagine if the MCU Venom is Scorpion instead of Eddie? It’s happened before.

He was already introduced in Homecoming, so why not bring him back as Scorpion? He loses to Symbiote Spider-Man, Peter ditches the symbiote, it bonds to Scorpion.

Venom. And a Venom that has a reason to fight Spider-Man.

Imagine Peter having to fight for his life going against them both ?

Give Peter the suit, and after he doesn’t like it anymore, then we can get the agent venom military story line, it definitely would give flash some character development considering no one takes him seriously because he makes himself out to be that way. He drops out MIT and joins the military bam

They let hardy venom continue to exist for a reason

I believe both venoms will and can coexist

We are already attached to hardy I think it’s possible for two venoms to coexist
