The American Robin's song lets us know that spring is here, but did you know that they, along with other birds, have vocalizations that alert others to danger, such as, "There's a hawk over there!"? In this video, I cover the American Robin's alarm calls and explain the meanings behind them.

This is part one in my Bird Sounds Translated series. Let me know in the comments whats birds you would like me to cover.

Many more long form videos to come and plenty of shorts already. Thank you for being here and supporting my educational efforts by subscribing.

People are saying the mourning dove is the bird of everyone’s childhood but for me it’s the chickadee and the robin

I’ve heard that monkey sound but I didn’t know what it was. Thanks for the information. I have a little Yorky and we sat out on the deck a lot and we do have red tail hawks so I have to be vigilant that it doesn’t come down and swoop her up.

Wow. This is an impressive video. Thank you for the info. I've been trying to understand what all the sounds mean around the yard.
