One of the biggest mysteries in the naruto fandom was how did teen Boruto get the scar over his eye. Well at the end of boruto naruto next generations we learn the truth. After Boruto learns Kawaki attacked his parents and believes that Kawaki killed them, he confronts Kawaki and gets told Kawaki merely sealed them away. Kawaki then engages in battle with Boruto trying to kill him and that’s when Sarada arrives at the hokage monument to try and defend Boruto, while attempting to talk Kawaki out of fighting. This leads to Kawaki saying shinobi are destined to die and Boruto tells Sarada to run because Kawaki will kill her this time and before Sarada can react, Kawaki tries to cut her head off, but Boruto pushes her out the way and gets his face sliced from his forehead just below his eye. This ultimately causes Sasuke to arrive on the battlefield with a sword pressed to Kawaki’s neck, but Momoshiki hijacks Boruto’s body to allow Kawaki to escape being killed by Sasuke because Momoshiki needed Kawaki alive to feed him to the ten tails.

that scene is the remake of the one in shippuden where Sasuke had joined "Madara" and Sakura went off alone to kill him. But than before his knife could hit her Naruto took her. He got a little scratch under his eye so its not as bad but still.

Imagine an alternate universe/ ending where Momoshiki gets what he wants in sacrificing Kawaki whos 80% Otsutsuki to the Juubi. This event will produce a decent chakra fruit for Momoshiki's taking.

He'll evolve most likely a byakugan or rinnegan (in his hands) probably gaining a Kokugan (or lesser doujutsu),

I switched over to the manga for blue vortex, but I'm still waiting for this arc to be adapted to anime, and thus have not read the manga for this part

Why didn't they show this in the anime if it's still form when they were younger ? It could've been how like the original Naruto had the first fight at the valley

It wasn't a mystery if you read the manga if you only use one source of information you will never know what is real or made up hence the story of Boruto Two Blue Vortex and Next Generations to show how we get here from the past of Kaguya and as well what could be going on with in the ninja world

Sarada seems to have gotten more from Sakura than Sasuke. I didnt know being unuseful is inheritable.
