Why Lord Shiva was cursed?😮

Did you know that Lord Shiva was cursed to behead his own son? Once, in the celestial realm, the sun god or the Surya Dev became extremely prideful due to the world's dependency upon his energy. Since the arrogance contradicts the moral principles of a deity, Lord Shiva warned Surya to humble himself. However, Surya Dev ignored Shiva's warning. As a result, Shiva grew angry and struck Surya with his Trishul (or the Trident), making him unconscious.

It's not that Lord Shiva couldn't annul the curse (to say that one member of the Trimurti is unable to do something is a blasphemy) but he wouldn't do that to show that curses should not be cast without mature deliberation and for a sound reason and that the Deity is able to use the natural course of events without loopholes to uphold Dharma. Please, don't say that the Supreme Being is not able to do something.
