On Wednesday, June 9, 2021, the Pembroke Center hosted "Making News: Adding Diverse Voices to Mainstream Media," presented by the Friends of the Pembroke Center.

Four distinguished Brown alumnae panelists discuss how journalism and the media have evolved in recent years to include more diverse perspectives and reporting that centers race and gender and explore this current media moment and how it reflects fundamental, parallel changes in our culture and politics. Panelists also delve into how we got here, where we're going, and why it matters. Ryan Grubbs '10, Co-Chair of the Pembroke Center Advisory Council's Program Committee, introduces the event.
