It’s funny, the more you learn about lifting the more you realize it mostly comes down to “just lift hard bro”

Inconvenience is key. I had my butlers move my home gym (1 of my 8 continental US homes) to a local mountain so that I must scale said mountain at my own inconvenience. I am bigger than ever, but my butlers are even bigger.

a horrible car accident when i was 8 years old left me basically ruined. working out has been absolutely important ever since; whatever i don't want to do is the first exercise i do ...

All growth comes from uncomfortable situations

yep bodybuilding is basically the purest form of "doing work"

This is pretty clear when you consider that your body doesn’t want to expend unnecessary energy maintaining and powering a muscular system that it doesn’t need (which is expensive even when sitting still) you need to convince your body that you need those muscles (or bigger ones) on a regular basis

People try to make it rocket science or an impossible task. Push your limits when you train and you'll get results.

I think the best tip for Growing muscles is to Workout a plan that you can enjoy.
I dont like to spend 2-3 Hours in a gym, so i Focus on clean reps with long eczentric work.
Makes my muscles realy tired and i spend around 1 hour so i realy have no valid excuses to not go to the gym.
If you struggle in life and the gym is a safe space for you, than spend more time.
Its about the consistensy so especially if you start to train, choose a way you like to go there, to make it easyer to get the habit going

I’m a lady in my 40’s and I’ve done stage electrical my whole working life. I am often connecting feeder cable to large distros which is a heavy rubber booted connector- this connection requires you to rotate the rubber against rubber, steel lug against steel sleeve 180°. It’s really hard, and most people cannot do it. I have found that I can if I simply try as hard as I can and then… just try a little bit harder. It’s always exactly right out of my perceived actual ability. I know this sounds like BS but I swear to god I have coached other electricians exactly the same way and seen them achieve it. 😂

Yes, I open jars for my beefcake husband.
¯\_(°ペ)_/¯

But can you alternate? From heavy weight/low reps to low weight/higher reps? Or just stick to one til I'm dead?
