16:50 She seems to share some features, or rather lack of features with Odo, maybe a changeling?

The nebula scenes at the start of the episode, not only "looks similar" to the 1x01 Remembrance scenes. They are indeed, identical ! Flipping the image both horizontally and vertically, and they are the same.

So glad these are back. I love your Easter Eggs and Canon Connections videos.

When Rafi walks by the people doing drugs into their eyes it’s a reference to “The Game” when the whole crew gets hooked.

I could be wrong, but I think that familiar looking alien you pointed out is supposed to suggest that Changlings are joining Starfleet… not being permitted to look like anyone or anything they please makes sense under Captain Jellico 2.0

Turns out that in Raffi's personal file that appears on screen, Raffi stalked Janeway, now promoted to full Admiral, about her theory into what happened on Mars. Janeway reported her and it was added to her record. I completely missed this when I first saw the episode.

16:50, without a doubt, they look like a changeling.

When I watch these videos I'm usually smoking a bowl and listening to it on in the background, and when you say my name I suddenly feel like I'm having a stroke.

I'm finally getting caught up with Picard (and of course your and Brandi's coverage! ) .... the unknown alien to me looks like a changing but I'm about to watch ep 2 so we'll see if we see more! )

23:59 My guess is Voyager A does not get to live past the events of prodigy. Maybe lost somewhere. Or somewhen.

The Ink Spots song, plus the panoramic shot of the personnel items on the ship is a reference to the intro/trailer to the videogame, "Fallout 3".

Thanks. Nicely done.
Btw, jacket, Beverly's wearing, reminds on away jackets from TOS movies.

The "unknown" alien looked, to me at least, like one of the water world race from Voyager: Thirty Days. They're in another quadrant though. I also thought I saw a disassembled TOS phaser amongst Beverly's collection of goodies. Hard to be sure

I wouldn't be surprised if the Shrike is actually a heavily refitted Starfleet vessel, the kind with four warp nacelles, like the Stargazer or the Constance, the ship mentioned in the ending credits. There's even a deflector dish that looks a lot like the ones we could find on a Federation starship. The "crescent" prongs in the center could very well be the remains of a saucer section. Vadic looks human. So maybe she was the Constance captain, or another officer.

Thank you, Dan, for such a sizeable deep dive video. Some would say it's a very "Fat" episode. 😉😄

Yay! 🤩Also Geordies daughters are played by LeVar Burtons real daughters 🙌🏻

I see that the report on the Constance has redacted portions. Guess it's classified? Athan Prime is a reference to Athan Cole from 12 Monkeys. Also 47 itself is a Trek thing (as you know) which was started by Joe Menosky as a reference to the 47 society at Pomona College. <3 Annie

The "In the 25th century..." title card seems to be missing from Crave. Any other Canadians notice this?
