Recently I decided to migrate my entire password value from LastPass over to BitWarden and it's not because LastPass is bad, far from it but I felt like using an open source password manager was the better security choice in the long run.

last pass introduced "only 1 device" compatibility this year so you can either use it on mobile or computer cant on both. This implementation didnt worked well with me from last couple of months. Despite of being a lastpass user from last 4 years now am moving to bitwarden which is free, open source and has a good reputation.

took you long enough to switch to bitwarden. My first password manager was 1password ages ago, but the pricing made me switch to lastpass.
Some bugs in lastpass and their increase in pricing made me switch to bitwarden 2 years ago and I haven't look back or looked for any other PM.

Bitwarden is simply amazing and the pricing fits anyone's pocket for premium if you need the features or simply want to support the developers.

I did this a couple of months ago. Haven't looked back. I just wish BitWarden had a respectable CLI that doesn't need another CLI to do basic shit (or dmenu script). The UI is superior to LastPass's, but keyboard shortcuts could be improved massively. One thing that seriously bugs me about BW, though, is that no icon has a tooltip telling what it does. They just think you're in the know.

Good video. A few points:
- Bitwarden seems pretty good, however, some of the functionality is paid only. Should mention that.
- File attachment limit is 100mb afaik - enough for most people, but yea
- It doesn't have support for an SSH agent, while KeePass has one, which is a bit unfortunate.

I actually started using LastPass after I had to remember more than 12 random passwords, each having 12-16 characters in length. It was really random generated and I managed to remember 12 of them, so yeah, I don't think I would have a problem remembering the one you've shown :D

Would you advise people to use Bitwarden over something like lockwise which is build in firefox?

I can actually remember passwords up to 18 characters if I use it enough like it's a muscle memory thing along with remembering

After I dumped my smartphone I switched to Unix pass. Guilty, I used randomly generated passwords specifically so that I cannot remember them unless I use them everyday. I never remember my online banking password because it is used once a month. On the other hand, I remember my college e-learning platform password without looking it up...Christmas holiday break might reset my memory.
