WoW Dragonflight Alpha | First Look at the Major Factions

A brief overview of covenant system for the four major Dragonflight factions: Dragonscale Expedition, Maruuk Centaur, Iskaara Tuskarr, and the Valdrakken Accord.

These are renown based instead of reputation based, though the renown grid is similar to reputation versus the renown of Shadowlands (you don't loot renown, you must earn each renown via farming it by rep).

You earn reputation by completing daily quests, completing the weekly quest of collecting three thousand reputation with any Dragon Isle faction, and completing events like primalist invasions or centaur hunts.

Its an improvement that they made the different factions offer no actual gameplay benefits, like how they did in Shadowlands.

Its always a problem when you want to choose x faction with the class you are playing, but the abilities said faction offers are not as good as the one the y faction would give to your class. This way you don't really have a choice, since you must use the faction which is the meta or else you will have a disadvantage compared to other players.

The class/race system also has some similar problems, like how some classes are better for other races than others because of racial passive. Those are very minimal disadvantages though and most of the time don't really make a difference, unlike with larger systems like this.
