Here's an easy to understand explanation on how the term "Linux" is used both technically vs culturally, and what someone usually means when they talk about the family of Linux-based operating systems.

In the picture showing what components make an operating system show: bootloader wich systemd kernel already has, device drivers i thought it also comes with the kernel, security is built into the kernel, networking as well .. user interface is also provided by the tty or isint?, and user aplication is not needed for a system to be operative... so my call is linux kernel is an full fledged operating system.

I've really never heard of GNU, but I have heard of Linux. I'm also not sure why Linux is only at the level it is, between booting stuff and other systems stuff. Should it not be both lower and higher, too? I admit I know very little about computer programming stuff.

If I am correct Linux Kernel its just program that provide API to hardware
with certain model of behavior, like OpenGL
it provides us a certain Virtual Machine that adjust its behavior to some standart
(and I am actually curious whether kernel include drivers like sound driver, openGL driver ... or drivers actually involved by some OS packages
Its provide our access to send massage to Graphic Card but were it actually
realize behavior of openGL API or drivers work to this system(X system in this cace))

I mean what is gnu? Its the stuff made by the gnu project so KDE is technically not GNU while GNOME is. Wayland is not part of GNU. Pulseaudio is not part of GNU. Also its the one who makes tve distribution that decides the name of it

Saying Linux is not an operating system is like saying Pluto isn’t a planet.

2:10 i thought the gnu project was only the utilities and WITHOUT the kernel is ENTIRELY missing, like combining two pieces of puzzle i.e., the linus's kernel & gnu utilities/open source philosphy not replacing the pre-existent gnu kernel

Bit of a misleading title, considering that the video was made 3 years ago.

So I guess Windows is also a kernel, it functions the same way as Linux. Windows loads after a BIOS hand off, just like Linux. This also seems to indicate an operating system doesn't actually exist??? Hmmmm... I'm missing something here.

What if Windows starts to use Linux kernel?

linux is not a kernel, it's kernel plus applications plus vt and translated program like bash plus file system to be work as a system.A system need regulated space to write and read data and that's file system.
