EASY, SOFT Sourdough Discard TORTILLA Recipe #sourdough #shorts

Mix:
1/2 c. Sourdough Discard (135g)
1/4 c. Olive oil (45g)
1/3 c. Water (75g)

Add:
1 2/3 c. Flour (194g)
1/2 tsp salt (3g)

Knead 2-5 mins until combined
Cover and rest 30 mins or chill over night

For large tortillas divide into 8 balls, for small divide into 12-18 balls (depending on size you want) flatten and roll into thin circle

Cook on preheated, dry skillet on medium heat 30sec-1min per side

Wrap in towel as completed.

I started making homemade tortillas this summer and OMG. They are so much better than store bought! It is a bit more work, but so worth it

they are ready now. My first one was very crisp. Make sure, your own is already heated! Also, i had rye sourdough, so the all got a little stiff. So make the towel wet before you cover them. That should do the trick. They are perfect now

I do these in a pizza oven (mine is an ooni) where it bakes in about 30 seconds @ 700F & so it keeps its moisture. They’re great 👍

@amirasponsible can I let the dough in the fridge for 1-2 days before cooking? My family prefers it fresh but I am afraid to let the dough longer than the overnight time you recommend. Thanks
