Mamiya M645 Review // Best Beginner Medium Format Film Camera??

Just a relatively short review about the Mamiya M645, a medium format film camera from 1975. If you like what you see, be sure to stick around for more content coming soon. I would like to post more regularly as I get better at talking to a camera...honestly makes me uncomfortable. But I have fun doing it!

If you have anymore questions about the camera or anything discussed in this video, I will be sure to reply to any comments! :)

Intro is an instant attention grabber along with great editing, content, and pictures. This video sold me on your channel. Great work!

YES! Show us how you digitize these negs. I'm and OLD film shooter who is slowly getting back into it. I've always dreamed of owning a MF and can't seem to decide between a m645, RB67, Pentax, Bronica, etc., etc.

Great objective content spoken from the viewpoint of an artist (nerd) yet technical :) I like! I also shoot with the same camera. Scanned B/W images from the 645 are better than anything that originates from digital. And, who needs a huge RZ when this handheld works splendidly. I'll subscribe!

I had a co-worker that had one of these once. He raved about it. He had the optional prism instead of the waist level viewfinder you have. Unfortunately he had to sell it to make rent one month. Old MF cameras are currently one of the best values for money. I don't think you discussed the equivalent focal length / apertures for MF compared with full frame and smaller. Did you have to make adjustments to the expected depth of field / aperture? Did you adjust aperture by hand when viewing through the finder? Did you just get used to it? Whatever the case, the 80mm lens is an ideal starting point on a 645 camera since it's the same fov as 50mm for full frame.

The fact that you have, what I believe to be, an Electro 35 hanging on your wall...has won yourself a sub. Please correct me if I'm wrong. It's definitely a Yashica, yeah?

Excellent Video. just one question on this step. it is not clear to me, if it is version "A" or "B" - as "B" has been selected in the Link below the video, but it says:
Version B fits Mamiya (except M645 Super and M645 Pro), Olympus IS1 and IS2, Pentax 6X7, Pentax 645 and Rollei

I never ever record my personal life and moments with digital cameras. I use digital for work but i personally don't like digital for my own memories because it's too clean and fast and not as organic as film

I like the intro and the detail shots of the camera. The sound effect on the voiceover is so annoying and made be stop the video.
