Politiki -Greek Cabbage Salad
Politiki (Salata) is a Constantinople dish that is simply a Greek version of coleslaw. And, as with any coleslaw, you can put your own twist on it as I have done with this Politiki (Greek Cabbage salat.Cabbage-based politiki salata may be a dish for fall and winter in Greece, but the bright flavors and crisp textures are great any time of the year. it is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meats and fish.
Ingredients:
500gr. chopped cabbage
200 gr. purple chopped cabbage
3 carrots grated
4 sprigs celery without leaves chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
red pickled pepper (Florin)
salt
vinegar and olive oil for serving
red hot pepper powder (optional)
