It's time to stop taking blurry photos!

Today we look at an easy way anyone can fix their cameras autofocus system in 10 minutes.

This video is a must-watch for anyone that uses a DSLR camera and finds their images softer than expected.

Over the last 10 years, I've heard from so many photographers that have purchased expensive camera lenses for thousands of dollars only to capture images less sharp than those out of their point and shoot camera.

Well, the tool we discuss today puts an end to that and allows DSLR camera owns to get what they paid for out of their expensive camera lenses.

Professional lens calibration is not enough! Today we dive into the world of Autofocus Lens Calibration / AF Fine-tuning and offer an explanation as to why it is so imperative to calibrate your lenses even if they've recently been professionally calibrated.

Real-World Example, How-To, and more importantly Why...

Adaptive Lenses!
Hi, this is short and sweet. After watching the video on 'camera to lens calibration', I decided to check not only my three OSS pime lenses but the adaptive lenses I use all the time. It made such a difference. I purchased the JC Pyramid 4-9-21 and had not used it till now. I figured well I have it if I needed it! I found out after JC's video its needed for every lens you own! Thanks JC for making this tool. Well worth it! My friends you need this! Enjoy!!!

Coffee - sorry... This comment really addresses your last video, not this one. What I fail to understand is why all the camera and lens manufacturers are concentrating so hard on full frame lenses, when the huge part of the market is APS-C? Few lenses offered today are for APS-C - instead we get full frame lenses and pay a lot extra for the additional unneeded coverage. Sigma offered a few lenses that are brilliant for APS-C but has not done anything recently. Instead we have close to a dozen manufacturers all offering an 85 mm f1.8 and 24-70 mm f 2.8 zooms. Sony has brought out two truly excellent APS-C zooms - the 18-135, and the 70-350; we can hope that Sony is finally starting to pay more attention to APS-C.
Anyhow, thanks for your continued brilliant videos.
Cheers

I have had some trouble with a used ex+ condition 85mm 1.2L on my 1Dx Markii but not when I pair it up with my 6D. Was thinking it could be the top heaviness paired with the 1DX Markii but this crossed my mind and meaning to get this and try it. Was wondering how to use it. Thanks. Is there a set distance between the front of the lens? Or the side mark on the top of the camera body where the mirror sets inside?

I've heard a lot of negative comments about photographers messing up this calibration. Could you please post a follow-up addressing pitfalls and avoiding the "messing things up" concern. Love your content.

Glad to hear you're doing a follow-up vlog showing how to do this. I'm heading over to your site to pick up a kit now so I'll be ready. But HOW OFTEN does this need to be done?

what focal lengths do you test a zoom?

Great video and info/tips.
But I wish you could say something about what distance from sensor to target to use when calibrating different focal lengths. I'm sure (or I guess) i cant just calibrate a 24mm and a 500mm at a random distance?

Are you placing the focal point on the blue center box or on the 00? Also do you level the Tripod with the pyramid

Thank you sooo much! I’ve been so confused why it looks sharp when I shoot & blurry in LR. I can’t wait to check my lenses with your tool. And see if that corrects it.
