It's like the perfect drummer without the alcohol and drug issues

Now add a ton of reverb and it will become the most 80's sound you'll ever hear.

the coolest part of your instruments, no digital display of what is going on. It feels like inside a submarine

This is a drum machine Behringer should really clone, the Tr-808 and 909 are instrumental also. The LinnDrum played a huge part in pop music and EDM . It’s often overlooked.

Really great presentation, I used to pair one of these with my DX7 and just jam for hours like it was the 1980s :)

Prince was a master at programming the Linn. Though I believe he had and prefered the LM-1

This has me reliving my childhood. Being born in 1979 the1980's was such a fun decade so when I hear any sound that harkens back to those glorious days I get engulfed with nostalgia and want to cry too. God I miss the 80's!!

What a legendary machine. I still got samples of it in my library. Such a unique sound.

Still holds well today. Great drum machine. Also you could upgrade it easy. The top just flips up and you could change the ic chips. All the best synths and drum machines were made back in the 80s.

<3 <3 <3 Ugh, my heart. What a gorgeous, legendary instrument heard on EVERYTHING. My former roommate in late 2018 had one, but it didn't work as well as yours, here.... It was still awesome seeing that thing in person. Can't afford a real one, but the wav samples I have of it bring the nostalgia and fill the musical need (no matter the genre) every single time.

In probably September 2022, when I was at the Boca Raton pool, I heard the LinnDrum in some probably 1986 song.

What an awesome workflow. I can't believe we have to put up with what modern samplers and grooveboxes offer.

Such a crunchy sound, especially when tuned down. Love it. You're a lucky man!

Interesting fact - it was never called the LM-2. The LM-1 stood for Linn/Moffett-1. Alex Moffett had left the company by the time Roger Linn made the second machine, so it was just called "Linn Drum". 😀

The Linndrum and the Simmons SDSV is the perfect combination for the 80'S drum sound.

Didn't have a Linndrum no more but still have the Simmons SDSV.
