Hi, thank you for making the videos on spelling rules. What about 'annoy -> annoyance'? It is a verb ending with ~y but we don't change 'y' to 'i' then add ~ance. Is this considered an exception? If so, is there a list of exception words?

For verb that ends with ~ere, remove 'e', add ~ence.
What about 'persevere' -> 'perseverance' ... why this is special and remove 'e' but add '~ance' instead?

How about 'prefer' -> 'preference' ?
