PREFIXES & SUFFIXES

In today's lesson, Kevin teaches you how to identify and use prefixes and suffixes.

NOTE: At 4:45 in the video, we cover the word "enjoyable." We mention the suffix ("-able"), but there is also a prefix we neglected. That prefix is "en-," meaning "within." To "enjoy" something means to find joy WITHIN it. Furthermore, at 5:30, you could argue that true base word is "act," not "active," as even "active" can be pared down (since it has the suffix "-ive"); however, the word "inactivity" comes from the word "active," not "act," so this one is a little more gray.
