The five points of Calvinism are five important doctrines of the Reformed faith. In this video, I provide a description of the second point in the TULIP acronym - unconditional election. Then, I go over Dr. James White's exegesis of Ephesians Chapter 1 as articulated in his book "The Potter's Freedom" which is a key passage which teaches the biblical doctrine of unconditional election.

I admit that I’ve always had an issue with predestination. I still can’t quite accept it. But, what I’ve come to realize, that no matter what the subject, there are going to be people on both sides of the fence. Doesn’t mean you’re not saved. At least that’s what i have been taught.

And Ephesians 2.
We were as the rest of man kind, we were under the power of Satan and lived for all that the flesh desires. Then God, not us, God took action, while we were dead in sin He made us alive in Christ.

Hey Alan!!!

It took me awhile to come to the conclusion that the doctrines of grace are the most biblical sound explanation of grace. What really convinced me is that unconditional election is the best explanation of God's sovereign grace, moreover the best explanation of God's grace, as God chooses to give grace to you for none other than God's will, versus a choice based on merit or our decision, as that gives us partial credit. This grace in unconditional election gives all the glory to God, none to us.

Brother you have a great sense of humor. You didn't crack any joke but I laughed😂😂. GBU brother in christ. Many christians reject this doctrine I don't know why but I know that this is the truth that scripture teaches. Great Job brother.

Solid teaching! If salvation was us 'choosing' Christ by our own free will, we would all fail miserably as our fickle free will would just as quickly take us off in another direction. Only God can instill such a faith in us and then nurture it so there is no turning away, only He can cause us to hear his voice. Jesus said 'My sheep hear My voice' and our hearing is opened by the Father's will.

Good morning Brother Allen! I listened to what you said, but what I have is a problem is with the "w" in the scriptures. Matthew 23:37 (KJV) O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! It doesn't say could not but WOULD not. That W indicates a decision. I also believe the IF in Romans 10:9 also indicates free will. I could go on, but I'm sure you have heard it all before. I would suggest the next time you hear the hymn "Standing on the promises", you should sing standing on the Perennial that would fit your exegesis much better. :) Lord bless you! Please keep the videos coming I really enjoy them!

If the center of all things good and worthy and perfect and of value is found in God, then what is the greatest thing he can give us? Himself.

This is what helped me finally understand why I should care about God’s glory.

Romans 11: 33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! 34 For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? 35 Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? 36 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

"Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the 1 Peter 1:2 gives clarity to the Doctrine of Election (Chosen), which should be read along with Ephesians 1:4.

I’m pretty sure when it says that Jesus died for all, that it meant all. Whatever though. It’s just a secondary doctrine that we can come to a disagreement on. I think it only really affects the methodology of evangelism. That’s honestly one of the concerns I’ve always had with Calvinism. What’s the point of evangelizing if the elect will go to God regardless? Personally I’ve always viewed Calvinism more as the doctrine of a man than of God. It’s all right if there’s a disagreement in that. You can make really good cases on both side of the coin’s. I just so happen to be on the other side that doesn’t agree with Calvinism. That doesn’t make me more or less saved. We’re still brothers in Christ. If you’re interested check out the other side of the coin. I would recommend the usual, but I’m somebody who is the main language is Spanish. So I recommend my second choice. Mike Winger did a pretty good topic on why he views Calvinism is on biblical. I pretty much agree with that perspective. Anyway may God continue to guide you and use your ministry. One last thing. If there is misspellings in the comment I apologize. I am visually impaired and use audio voice to type. Thank you for reading and God bless you.
