I met him when he came for a talk in our school. I was in grade ninth, and struggled to understand the lecture. But it was very interesting. Later, me and six other students (from tenth to Twelfth) stayed back to ask him questions. It was a great opportunity and I felt I could ask many questions I had been wanting to get answers to for years. 1 question lead to another and we stayed for almost an hour.
Before we left, sir told us to keep our interests in science, for the opportunities are then endless. I cannot express in words how grateful I am. Professor Ghatak was disappointed that many students in our school were talking among themselves and were not respectful at all. But he opened my eyes to the field of science, I was gaping the entire time I watched his lecture. Science truly appeared then as something very fascinating

He despised the education system focusing only on examination. He stated that examination takes away joy and exploration of learning. I find it fascinating!

Had Einstein been born in India, he would have been wasted in preparing for JEE and then for SSC, UPSC etc. learning history, reasoning, quantitative aptitude etc. Or he might have been stuck whole life in completing degrees and appearing for JRF, NET, SLET etc before even becoming a lecturer and even if he would have managed to discover these equations, unfortunately he would never have been so famous and celebrated. Like Ramanujan, Vashsita Narayan and a plethora of other names he would have been just an unsung hero.Very few of us are awed by science rather actors, cricketers, leaders, Beurocrats are the only respected professions in India. Just we like to talk a lot about Einstein and Newton, but India never promotes scientific thinking or encourages students (in true sense not just for formality) to take and build a career in science. We just love talking.

90 MJ to separate two magnets stuck together ?
This is wrong.
Compare with 10 J to lift 1 kg to the height of 1m.
