I am 67 yrs. old now. I felt a pain in my heart walking home from school in grade 7 listening to this on my transistor radio with the 9 volt battery and the ear plug (see we had High Tech in those days too!). I remember how I felt back then through this song. The girl I had a crush on told me that my hair was too short and I wore glasses...I was devastated....emotions are so raw and powerful at that stage of life.
