Should the different pillars of democracy not be seen converging? Should they be enemies? Should there be no courtesies extended towards each other? The beauty of democracy lies in the differing behaviors exhibited both on and off duty. While objections are raised about the PM meeting the CJI, there are no objections to Rahul Gandhi meeting Ilhan Omar, the Chinese Premier, signing MoUs, or interacting with George Soros. The criticism of Ganesh Puja is noted, but was not the former PM Manmohan Singh also known for attending Iftar parties?"

Rahul Gandhi not met at Ilhan omar house or met her privately it is the group of ministers and people he met from which she was one of. She is the lawmaker and he did not meet him separately. Such a shame. Judiciary and executive should be separate and Modi meeting the CJI at his home this is the issue.

I don't see any reason why Narendra Modi should not visit D.Y. Chandrachud's house or vice versa. Personal relations can and always must be kept separate from work relations.
