I think the answer to the last question about muggles getting their Hogwarts letter in person refers to when Snape explains this to Lily in a flashback in book 7 and tells her that someone will be delivering her acceptance letter in person because she’s muggle born (and so they can explain to her parents that she’s a witch).

I think Harry got an owl delivering his letter because his aunt and uncle were aware of the magical world (even thought they tried to pretend it didn't exist). Other muggle parents wouldn't likely have a clue.

Pewter has a melting point of 170 – 230°C so yes it is considered softer than other metals (i.e. copper: 1084°C; aluminum: 660°C; carbon steel: 1425 – 1540°C; brass: 930°C; cast iron: 1204°C; stainless steel: 1375 – 1530°C) but I assume that's because first years would not be brewing anything that requires extreme high heat or sustained heating.

Maybe I’m a freak at remembering random stuff but “tiptoe through the tulips” was firmly locked in my mind the second I heard the question 😂

"What do wizards consider fantasy?" Well, there is one wizard in particular that allegedly wrote a few fairy tales. You may not have heard of him but he is known as Beedle the Bard.

About the pewter cauldrons: they actually explain this factor in the books! Why else is the thickness of cauldron bottoms so important? Every metal has a point of thickness at which it becomes pliable, but each one is different! How else could you have wires, platings, and statues made from the same materials?

This is my appreciation comment on behalf of Riley continuing to nail the editing. Thanks, Riley, we appreciate you!

The last question. Usually for Muggleborns they have a member of staff deliver the letter in person so the parents can have the situation explained to them, and to have people on hand to alter memories should there be negative reception, considering it's revealing the magical world to muggles which may violate the statute of secrecy.

Edit: I think the reason harry was an exception is because the Dursleys already knew about magic, even though they disliked it, they were aware of it because of Dumbledore's letter and Petunia's family.

When I was a little kid, I used to think privet was just the way Jim Dale said "private" and never looked it up till I was an adult. Now I know it's a kind of flower. Reading the books in German, they translate the street name using the German work for privet - Liguster. However, in the Hawaiian version, the translator calls the street Ala Pilikino, which means "private road" 🤣

The way I always justified the answer to the last question is that A: Harry isn't muggle born, and B: Hagrid assumed Harry was told about his parents by the Dursleys, so naturally the rest of the staff thought he knew as well.

In the movies it doesn't say it but I DO remember reading about how a teacher or something would bring the muggle borna their letters and explain everything to help with the shock. I always assumed Harry got his letter through owl post only because Vernon and Petunia already knew about the wizarding world so I'm sure they thought Harry would as well (and even if they knew he didn't know his guardians still did so it wouldn't be a shock to them).

About the last question, I remember that Hermione says that Magonagal came to her house to give Hermione her letter and to explain everything to her parents and show them around Diagon Alley

Imagine if Harry had gone to the wrong wand shop, no same wand core, it would have been very different

I think the Dumbledore title should have gone to Ben because he actually got the whole grand sorcerer title not just sorcerer. I feel he gets ripped off a bit like this, and never argues it.

I think this was the first time I knew the answer to a question that they got wrong. The hand delivering of the letter by a staff member is something that definitely stuck with me, so I’m surprised they didn’t know it.

Marge ate a funny whelk, its a sea snail you can buy and eat, they can be sold everywhere but most common is on the English coast. She was holidaying on the Isle of White which is a small island of the southern coast, made up of primarily coastlines. Its very plausible she ate it a few days before sending the postcard and was still feeling the ill effects but not as bad, we British people like sharing the misery especially if it had ruined our fun. She probably only went for the weekend so she may of been ill most of her time there so people had to know about it, Vernon, Petunia, Dudley and even the postman. :)

Didn't Snape let Lily that someone from the school would come by with it, because she is a muggle born witch? I think the only reason Harry gets the owls is because Dumbledore left a letter with Harry explaining everything, and it was assumed that he would be told that he was a wizard. That's why Hagrid was so surprised that Harry didn't know.
