I appreciate this video. Thank you. My parents and grandparents are caught up in the WOF😢 My dad recently gave me a book by Kenneth Hagin. I recently left the Assembly of God church that we were going to for years. So refreshing to be in a reformed church.

It's disturbing today how little faith pastors have in God's Word to captivate men's minds and lead us to salvation.

This episode brought back memories. I was at William Branham's funeral as a girl, and I remember Junior Jackson and TL Osborne speaking there.

This is so fascinating. It really needs to be a documentary.

Back in the mid 1990's, there was a HUGE blow-up in the Wod of Faith Movement when late Word of Faith pastor, Fred Price did a series on Race and Religion. He played a tape of Kenneth Hagin Junior. Pastor of Rhema Bible CHURCH dropped his mask of congeniality and plainly stated from his pulpit that Black and White Christians should never inter-marry. To paraphrase it,
"We can be friends and fellowship together, go around in groups and work together, but DON'T MIX THE RACES AND MARRY EACH OTHER!"
Brother Price didn't say who it was, but his voice was easily recognized by those of us in the movement at the time. Junior lost members friendships, and ministry partners over it (as he should have!), and a week or so later, he issues a weak, pathetic, vague apology for saying "something" (although obviously, he was of the same mind). He showed his "true colors" that morning.

I'm alternating between laughter and outrage. I remember it all and I still can't believe I fell for it. You're so right: "What was I Thanks for another great video! Bless you, guys!

I want to thank God for delivering my wife and me from the Word of Faith cult. These preachers prey on the sick, but are really after their money. E.W Kenyon had a big influence on Osborn and Hagin. He taught that Jesus died spiritually and actually became sinful on the cross. This is a damnable teaching. This is teaching another Jesus. Jesus was the pure and spotless Lamb of God. He was the holy sinless sacrifice dying on our behalf. He rose from the dead and is seated at the right hand of the Father and will come again in power and great glory.
" Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and he was buried, and he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. " 1 Corinthians 15:3-4
" Repent and believe the gospel." Mark 1:15

What men has done to the gospel of Jesus Christ is sad. Jesus said follow me. Thank you Jesus for loving me. I will follow you to the end by the power of your name and the help of The Holy Spirit.

Another great episode men. I was especially interested in T.L. Because he was such a close friend of my grandfather. He stayed in our home. We were not in The Message, but my grandfather was a “prophet” and healer, and T.L. Sometimes called my GF for a “word for the Lord.” My GF’s church was independent, but closely affiliated with Elim BIble Institute - and was certainly friendly with the Latter Rain. Great work! We knew Jim Beall well (Myrtle’s son) and I was originally ordained under the I.A.O.G. - but came out later - especially as I embraced Reformed theology and left Pentecostalism. So many connections. I.Q. Spencer was also a family friend.

If someone came up to me huffing, puffing, and hissing, I would not walk away. I would run away as fast as I could.

I heard Hagin in the seventies, more than once say that the Lord gave him a word of prophecy in the presence of Gordon Lindsey. He did not give names but it was readily apparent it applied to William Branham, AA Allen and Jack Coe. He says that he and Lindsey appealed to the prophet to stop teaching the false doctrine and stick with being a prophet. He seemed to still believe that Branham was gifted as a prophet. Also, Hagin did not learn the word of faith from Branham or Christian Science or Latter Rain. His conviction on confessing the word came out of his own experience as a boy in 1932. A former AG pastor in the eighties says this was exactly what he taught in those early days of his ministry prior to the Latter Rain or knowing Branham. It is true that TL Osborn was greatly influenced by Branham. Hagin was not. Hagin readliy condemned foolishness like not going to the doctor or claiming a dead person is healed.

Lee Vayle would talk about these guys all the time. It's true, they really did work close with the message people back in the old days.

They did it for the money. Just like Bill Johnson, TD Jakes, Robert Morris, Pat Robertson, Kenneth Copeland, Steven Furtick and so on.

The fact that I joined the church thinking I will receive or have an experience with the Lord, wow this is scary 😨
