Correction: the $100 airline discount credit has been discontinued. My apologies! 😅

I know people love the CSR, but this card is a better value. Same CSR benefits. The CSR needs its multipliers revamped.

The Club Lounge upgrade is Amazing. To book club level costs usually about $300 more than the base room. The Lounge is not an ordinary executive lounge. They do 4 servings and the concierges are amazing and the booze is complimentary. Seriously… you get the upgrade for 2 people. I take my wife and we make a full day trip of just going to the lounge for the visit and have built friendships with the staff. This perk alone is worth over $2500/year to me.

I have had the Ritz card for a couple years now and it has been great. I still have the CSR but I’m not sure for how long. The Visa Infinite backing, airport lounge restaurants, 85K free night plus the $300 annual upgrade bonus are great and actually very easy to use. I make a quick phone call and it is credited. They have run special bonus points of 5X on groceries and dining both of the last years too. Usually for a few months. Great card.

the 85K certificate can get you to the St. Regis or Ritz-Carlton in Maldives costing $2, 000+ if paid in cash

I've only heard postiive things about this card from those that have it. I personally won't be going for it anytime soon, but I can see the power in it for sure. Looking forward to seeing you get it next year!!

Just got my Ritz- Carlton credit card. I called chase on April 26th and received it literally an hour ago. (3 business days) FYI This IS a METAL Credit card. It feels equal in weight to the chase sapphire reserve but not quite as heavy as the AMEX gold but its extremely close in weight. It is ever so slightly thinner.

Great video! I have the JP Morgan Ritz-Carlton Card. Just a few corrections though. 1st Visa Infinite discontinued the 100.00 airline discount awhile ago. 2nd I used the 100.00 property credit at the Pentagon City property to pay for a double shot cognac at their bar. So it does work for alcohol. 3rd the Priority Pass has unlimited amount of guess you can bring into the lounges. It's what the lounge allows. Also some restaurants in the network allows 30.00 max per person. And last I always call Chase to speak to a customer service representative to apply my travel credits instead of email. All in all I love this card.

Chase also provides a specific phone number to call when you want to utilize the travel credit. I have had the car for 8 years. Excellent card. Just wish they never got rid of the $100 Airline discount

I’ve had the Ritz for almost a year now and love the benefits. Will be adding family members as authorized users as this card has unlimited and those family members get their own priority pass and tsa options too. 😊

The only not so fun part is waiting the year! 😂 Who knows; maybe by then the annual fee will match the brilliant and offer platinum status as well. I just hope they will still allow the product change.

Mark that was a great video, chalked with a lot of good information. The dollar value I would give the club level upgrade is easily $100.00. I know this because we booked two nights at the Pentagon City last November and paid for each day. Now the perk is that you get a free buffet breakfast, including libations, there is an afternoon lunch and even light snacks in the evening with dessert. Did I mention complimentary drinks, you can't put a real value on that. Mark can you do a vid on Ritz cruises or any luxury cruise line, it's the way to get even more bang for your buck?

I upgraded from the boundless to the Ritz about seven months ago and I’ve already taken advantage of the $300 credit. I looked up on Dr. of credit and he has a list of charges that are allowed for that credit and I basically used it for me and my family For Southwest to upgrade to A positioning to get on the plane

It’s part of the reason why I want to get a Chase Marriott card eventually!

CHASE Ritz Carlton CC rocks! The FNC + $300 credit are well worth it to me over the current AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant's offerings. As for having to secure message for reimbursement = IMO = it's WAY LESS of a hassle than dealing with AMEX over trying to get reimbursement for airline incidentals. Never had an issue with CHASE - I've had to learn through trial & error what AMEX will/won't accept based on how the airline codes the charges. Thanks for the info + video.

To be clear, you can get club level with points you just have to pay for it with points, not an upgrade. I did so at the Nile Ritz Carlton last year

I am a proud holder of this card. I got it via a product change around the time my Marriott Bonvoy Boundless (a card that I had for 3 years at that time) annual fee was due. Also, before I product changed, Chase increased my credit limit on that card. I called them, requested the card via product change, reallocated some credit limits on other Chase products & my sleek black metal RC card was delivered within 3 days!

I have this card as a companion to my AMEX Bonvoy Brilliant card. Both cards are quite similar, but have their own nuances. Visa is more accepted worldwide vs. American Express.

Also consider, when you product change this (or any Chase card), do it when your annual fee is due. Doing that, your annual fee will not be due for another 90 days.

Great video! Very thorough. I’m hoping to be able to product change to this card as it has quite a few advantages over the Amex version. It seems like the downsides are gold status instead of platinum, and maybe not being able to get it again if you downgrade back to the Boundless.

Great Video Mark!!! Don't think the $100 airfare discount qualifies anymore, it was discontinued a few years ago.

I just got my Boundless last week. Waiting a year to product change is going to be brutal 🤣. If you're in the credit card game this card is practically a no brainer. I'm going to use the 85, 000 yearly point allotment for a nice hotel room on my wedding anniversary. That 85K alone makes the card worth it.
