League of Legends has released over 150 playable characters over the years. Some of which are fan favorites, while others aren't very well liked within the community. But some champions generate stronger opinions than others. Today we are taking a look at some of most hated champions. And yes, Yuumi is number 1.

The funny thing about Seraphine is:

She was hated when she came to LoL, THEN get much love in LoR due to her great redesign, THEN hated again in LoR because she dominates the meta with many variants of her deck (worst is her w/ Ezreal). But she’s been nerfed, hard by increasing her level up condition by 50% and raising the cost of Back Alley Bar.

I personally have always hated Akali, you literally cannot interact with that champion unless they mess up.

I don't really care who the most annoying kit-wise is, but just the idea of Riot creating Seraphine purely for selling skins is something I still can't get over.

The second big part of why yuumi is hated really much is that in silver but mostly bronze and iron. She is used by demotion bots to lose games and try to get the accounts to iron 4. These accounts are worth 30 to 80 euros which might not be that much but in some countries that beats minimum wage. Yuumi is by far the easiest way to dodge being detected as afk or not trolling while still demoting.

I think seraphine was supposed to be a sona rework/overhaul but riot decided to hold back and just made her a separate hero

New champs are so infuriating, they must all have 5 dashes, healing, some sort of invulnerability or stealth, cc, etc. etc. while also having some sort of ""unique gimmick"" that makes them just so fucking annoying to face.

I find it extremely funny (as a DOTA player) that Yuumi is widely hated and played, while Dota’s equivalent Io is barely played and entirely forgotten about. The difference between the two of them? Io isn’t immune while linked.

I love the idea of Yuumi a lot (probably a large part of it is my cat bias though). Unfortunately I think it was always going to be hard to implement a character that latches onto other characters without making that character either useless or unfun to play against.

Interesting video first of all but I don't believe ban rate = amount of hate necessarily.

for eg. Morgana is more likely to get banned more than yuumi because she counters a vast majority of engage supports

The thing with yuumi is the invulnerability.

Dota has a chain healing hero that is so perfect (IO/wisp) because the survivability of the hero is based on the users positioning, and ability to teleport out or in at the right time. And you have to have amazing map awareness and positioning

Recent Patch Update: Yuumi got some changes that might make her more bearable. The heal on E is a shield now. She no longer gives bonus stats just for being attached. And there's a stacking 'Friendship' gauge which will empower Yuumi for staying with the same champ, probably to encourage staying with the botlaner instead of going jungle support at halfway. So maybe she won't be so hated now. But probably not.

I remember back on the old league forums (really old) I had an idea for a support character almost identical to Yuumi. I got a ton of hate saying it wouldn't work because of the lack of counterplay to someone that can't be interacted with. Years later we get Yuumi and I realized I deserved all that hate. (I was in middle school at the time of making that post) so Riot must have some kids designing champs

I personnally dislike any champions with no counterplay. I remember the lethality yi only played to q, obviously the invincible cat, the one shot hecarim, the one shot udyr lethality. I think unless there is some sort of range limitation, damage limitation or playstyle limitation (slow pushers etc), then a champion is not balanced. But tbh, the main issue were the items like hydra and claw that actually made those limitations void
