According to the IRS in 20014 and 20018 the top 25 wealthiest americans On average, paid 15.8% in personal federal income taxes between 2014 and 2018.That’s lower than the rate a single worker making $45, 000 a year might pay if you include Medicare and Social Security taxes. Another example According to a 2021 White House study,  the wealthiest 400 billionaire families in the US paid an average federal individual tax rate of just 8.2 percent. For comparison, the average American taxpayer in the same year paid 13 percent. Lol The IRS and economists found in 2021 that the top 1% of earners don't report nearly a quarter of their income and that the top 0.1% of earners underreport at nearly twice that rate. The Treasury Department has found that the top 1% of American earners evade $163 billion in taxes annually, with the top .05% dodging $120 billion every year. Now mind ya these figures are directly from the IRS and the white house lol. To top it off with a cherry When adjusted for inflation, American workers are earning just 12 cents more today than they did in 1972. In other words, real wages — wages in terms of the number of goods and services that can be bought have essentially been stagnant for 50 years. Lol so explain to me how the top wealthiest families in America are paying a lower flate rate across the board when we're paying a higher tax rate with less wealth lol look into it not my words it's the IRS the white house and the Treasury department are putting out those numbers ND in my opinion I think it's worse but according to the numbers this is what they saying so again how is that fair ? another example Jeff Bezos paid zero in 2007 and 2011, Elon Musk paid zero in 2018, Michael Bloomberg paid zero several times in “recent years”, and George Soros paid zero three years in a row.
