CNN's Richard Quest and Catherine Rampell say the US tax code essentially allows the super-rich to avoid paying taxes on their wealth and say it's up to Congress to make changes if we want to even the playing field.

This is not “society’s choice.” Most of society doesn’t own media or have influence over lawmakers who design this preferential tax code with low rates and loopholes for the wealthy.

Yes, you can blame the rich. I am poor but even I contribute to the taxation by NOT cashing my refund check thereby enriching further the federal coffers, my way of giving more than law requires. Give over already; these rich men could easily fork over a million dollars each year in gratitude for all that America GIVES THEM!

The American Tax Policy is a big ass joke. Tax the hell out of regular consumers for rich producers who can’t nearly out spend the median population.

Woah, don't try to say, "we as a society" set it up that way. It wasn't "society". It was wealthy politicians and their wealthy donors. Most of society just stayed poor
